Equipment composition:

(1) Compressed air purification unit

The initial step in the air compression process involves passing the compressed air from the air compressor into the compressed air purification device. Within this device, various steps are taken to eliminate impurities and ensure the cleanliness of the compressed air. The first step entails the use of a pipeline filter, which effectively removes a considerable amount of oil, water, and dust present in the compressed air. Following this, a freeze dryer is employed to further eliminate any remaining water content. To address the presence of oil and dust, a fine filter is utilized, effectively minimizing these impurities. To achieve an even higher level of purification, an ultra-fine filter is employed, providing an additional level of deep purification. In order to safeguard the molecular sieves, Guodi has thoughtfully designed a compressed air degreaser. This degreaser acts as a protective measure, preventing any trace amounts of oil from penetrating the system and ensuring the longevity of the molecular sieves. The meticulously designed air purification components guarantee the efficiency and durability of the molecular sieves. As a result, the purified air produced by this system is suitable for use in various applications, especially for instrument air.


(2) Air storage tank

The air storage tank serves a crucial purpose in reducing the fluctuation of air flow and acting as a buffer. This function significantly helps in minimizing pressure fluctuations of the system, allowing compressed air to flow seamlessly through the compressed air purification component, which then removes all oil and water impurities. This process, in turn, lessens the load of the later PSA oxygen and nitrogen separation device. Additionally, during the switching of adsorption towers, the storage tank releases a significant amount of compressed air for the PSA oxygen and nitrogen separation device, thus rapidly increasing pressure in a short period. This ensures that the pressure in the adsorption tower quickly reaches the working pressure and as such, guarantees reliable and stable equipment operation.

 

(3) Oxygen and nitrogen separation device

There are two adsorption towers, A and B, equipped with special molecular sieves designed for oxygen and nitrogen separation. Tower A receives clean compressed air through its inlet end, which then passes through the molecular sieve, resulting in the adsorption of nitrogen (N2) while allowing oxygen to flow out from the outlet end. Over time, the molecular sieve in Tower A becomes saturated with adsorbed nitrogen. At this point, Tower A automatically ceases adsorption, and the compressed air is redirected into Tower B for nitrogen absorption and oxygen production. Meanwhile, Tower A undergoes a regeneration process to restore the molecular sieve's adsorptive capacity. Regeneration is achieved by rapidly dropping the adsorption tower to atmospheric pressure, effectively eliminating the adsorbed nitrogen. These two towers alternate between adsorption and regeneration, facilitating a continuous supply of oxygen by effectively separating it from nitrogen. The entire process is controlled by a programmable logic controller (PLC), ensuring precise operation. When the oxygen purity at the outlet reaches the desired level, the PLC program activates the automatic vent valve to release any unqualified oxygen, preventing its flow to the gas point. To minimize noise, a muffler is utilized during the venting process to ensure the noise level remains below 75dBA. By implementing these procedures, a reliable and efficient oxygen generation system is established.

 

(4) Oxygen buffer tank

The oxygen buffer tank plays a vital role in maintaining the pressure and purity of the oxygen retrieved from the nitrogen-oxygen separation system. Its function is to provide a reliable and continuous oxygen supply. When the adsorption tower shifts, the tank will release a portion of its gas back into the tower, reinforcing the pressure and safeguarding the process. This mechanism ensures stable and effective operation, thereby optimizing the overall performance of the system.
